Greetings to all of you who have visited the Ansan Industrial History Museum.
Ansan Industrial History Museum is a place to look into the transitions and history of industrial development of Ansan at a glance, with Ansan’s industrial complex that became a west coast base of Korean industry at the center.
The Ansan area, which used to be a typical farming and fishing village until the 1970s, evolved as Korea’s biggest small and medium-sized enterprise complex starting from the establishment of the Banwol National Industrial Complex built to disperse the population and industries concentrated in Seoul. Ansan, which was planned as a backup city to accommodate the human resources for production along with the establishment of the industrial complex, was also completed as a ‘self-completion city’ where home and workplace are located in the same area.
Ansan Industrial History Museum would like to become a complex cultural space that prepares for the future while remembering our past and sharing our present. We preserve industrial assets that are gradually disappearing from museums and record the history of people who became a foundation for the development of the industry and the city. Furthermore, we plan to lay the basis for the knowledge industry and smart green industry and record the process of growth for Ansan, which evolves as the city of ecological industry.
We would like to ask you for more interest and support for the Ansan Industrial History Museum, which will continue to serve the role of a comfortable resting place that provides rich and diverse attractions so that we can evolve as a museum for everyone and complex cultural space.
Thank you.
